Going Places: Kind and Conscious Travel

Going Places: Kind and Conscious Travel

A World-Class Educational Course for Young, Independent Travellers

When you travel, you open yourself up to the unexpected, the unfamiliar and the downright bizarre. You challenge yourself with new surroundings and new experiences - and are rewarded with precious memories and a new perspective on yourself and the world. The travel experience should be joyful, open-hearted and free of anxiety.

That's where we come in.

The day begins at 10:00AM, when we open up the doors of 12 Moor Street in the heart of Soho and settle in with coffee and introductions - Then we get started!
  • Over the course of the morning, we'll provide you with the ultimate travellers' mental toolbox: you'll learn how to pack & prepare, how to avoid and pre-empt danger, how to respond to emergencies and how to plan for the unexpected.

  • After a delicious cooked lunch (our treat, of course!) provided by Ed's Easy Diner, you'll have a chance to chat more with your fellow travellers and the Vagabandits

  • The afternoon session will be a mixture of roleplaying exercises, anecdotes, advice and demonstrations designed to cement your self-confidence.

  • At some point, the group will be split into male and female groups and coached on gender-specific travel concerns

  • in groups organised by planned destination, we'll match you up with a Bandit who has first-hand experience there. Their ears will be open to any and all questions, and they'll share what they've learned - as well as region-specific tips & hacks that will give you the edge when you touch down.
The course will end at 17:00, but you'll be free to mingle and socialise - we'll provide some refreshments for those who want to stay and hang out.

By the end of the course, you'll be feeling confident, inspired and informed - ready to see the world on your terms. We'll arrange for your official certificate to be posted to your home address, and provide you with details on how to access the Going Places Online Forum, where you'll be able to keep in touch with your fellow travellers and Bandits alike.

I WORE THE VAGABAND WHEN TRAVELING IN THAILAND. IT WAS GREAT TO KNOW THAT IF ANYTHING HAPPENED I WOULD HAVE VITAL INFORMATION TO HAND
