A list of festivals that goes beyond Glastonbury and The Secret Garden Party, showing you what else we're pumped about in 2019!
Womad Festival
8th – 11th March
Ticket – From £185
I have only heard good things about this lovely world music fiesta. Music spans from East African gospel choirs to Bollywood brass bands so certainly not one to miss if world music is your penchant.
23rd – 27th May (May Bank Holiday Weekend)
Ticket - £125
Kicking off the summer is this wonderful wee shindig in the grounds of a medieval castle. The last 2 years have seen blistering sunshine and a great array of DJ’s and music. What better way to ease you in to the British summertime? Previous highlights include Dan Shake’s superb, boundless nugget of a set, Hunnee smashing it out as only he knows how to and an incredible light show that is not to be missed.
22nd – 25th August (August Bank Holiday Weekend)
Ticket – Sold out, so do whatever it takes!
Shambala has certainly cemented its place as one of the quickest growing and best festivals in the UK. This years tickets miraculously sold out before they had released a single performer from their lineup and believe the hype. It’s a phenomenal weekend and their perfect marriage of an eclectic lineup and a broad range of merrymakers makes it something rather special.
Moovin Festival
23rd – 25th August (August Bank Holiday Weekend)
Ticket - £113.50
Now with Shambala sold out there are other options if you cant find a ticket! One of which being the predictable Notting Hill Carnival and the less obvious option is a gorgeous young Stockport festival called Moovin. Last year welcomed a belly slapping line up boasting De La Soul, Groove Armada and General Levy. This, and so much more all for a very reasonable price, it certainly seemed like the unsung hero of 2018 in our book! We're excited to see what the 2019 line up has in store...
